TZER0™ Saves a Customer Four Million Dollars in One Year

"Working with RJG's TZER0 group has proved to have a huge value in the development of our product. Through collaborative efforts of both RJG and myself we were able to identify inadequate part designs, predict molding defects, optimize mold design, and pinpoint potential assembly complications through numerous simulations. In the end, the work with TZER0 allowed significant improvements in all areas that will save the company $4 Million per year in piece price." Jeremy Williams, Access Business Group, LLC.

Would you like to reduce waste, save time, and create a better design for manufacturability (DFM) experience? Collaboration between design engineering and manufacturing has gotten less frequent as the two have diverged. Does this sound familiar? Getting all the elements right from design, material, machine performance, and process is a daunting task. RJG is not only the leader in systematic molding principles, but we offer a scientific DFM process.

New Course Offering!
Scientific Cooling™
RJG is excited to offer Burger & Brown Engineering's Scientific CoolingTM course! This comprehensive two-day class is for designers, mold builders, tooling engineers, and mold technicians who want to better understand and control the effects of mold cooling resulting in more robust mold designs, mold builds, and molding processes.

Participants will learn the tools necessary to analyze heat energy and the mold cooling management required to produce consistent, profitable parts. Participants will also learn to systematically challenge the design of new molds and uncover issues with existing molds through a development of best practices for mold cooling management.

After successful class completion with a minimum test score of 70%, you will earn a scientific cooling certificate, and you'll have the tools to implement scientific cooling principles in your molding process.

Words of Wisdom: The Two Causes of Flash
by RJG Consultant Shane Vandekerkhof

Let me start out with a little story. A few years back I was called into a customer who was dealing with a mold that he couldn’t run without flashing. He said that he tried every solution possible and he wanted me to make sure that he wasn’t doing anything to cause the issue. I arrived and saw a brand new 16-cavity mold and immediately figured that this was a processing problem, because, how could a brand new mold be flashing so badly? Click here for more.

(We don't like to brag..but our consultants are really, really smart. We'd love to have them share more of their knowledge with you... click here to let us know what sort of processing problems you'd like to hear about.)

Plastic Components doubling 'lights-out' molding space
"PCI relies heavily on RJG’s eDART process control technology to run its presses without frequent human intervention, but Tom Duffey said the company owes just as much credit to its employees as to the technology."

Whirlpool is Awarded the 2015 RJG Training Excellence Award
RJG created the RJG Training Excellence Award as a way to recognize clients for their commitment to the RJG Master MolderSM Certification program. The award was presented to Scott Kovalska, Senior Engineer, on behalf of Whirlpool Corporation of St. Joseph, Michigan in RJG’s booth at the 2015 NPE Trade show. “Every industry needs leaders, and the presentation of this award shows their efforts in leading their implementation of systematic molding principles throughout their organization. The evolution and culture of these implementations is not just one or a couple of events, but a long term commitment to these changes and these companies have committed to this journey with successful results. From senior management on down, they have shown commitment to systematic molding methodologies. RJG appreciates their business and their plans for us to help continuously improve their company and its bottom line," explains Scott Van Hoven, national sales manager of RJG, Inc.
