Public Training Schedule

The Master MolderSM Certification Series is designed for the process technician, engineer or manager who needs to understand and demonstrate injection molding skills at the machine. Anyone responsible for implementing a processing strategy in their plant or anyone held accountable for quality control issues are prime candidates for this training. Students learn to apply methods, strategies and techniques of injection molding from the plastic’s point of view, all taught in a real-world production floor environment. The training is hands-on and in-depth which enables students to leave with solid skills that can be applied immediately in their facility.

These modules are meant to be taken in series. Successful completion of each module requires a cumulative score on both written and on-machine examinations. Upon successful completion, students receive a technical certification from RJG.

The Master Molder III course has changed to a Train The Trainer Certification.

What will we cover?

You’ll learn the fundamentals of Systematic Molding from the plastic’s point of view, and how machine controls affect the primary variables in the molding process.

  • Materials, Molds, Machines
  • Hydraulics and Instrumentation
  • Polymer Behavior
  • Process Development using DECOUPLED MOLDINGSM techniques
  • Process Documentation
  • Data Interpretation

Master Molder - Module II - 10 Days $3,745.00

What will we cover?

You will learn to apply cavity pressure control strategies and DECOUPLED MOLDINGSM techniques using instrumentation and data acquisition. The course covers the proper use of instrumentation and how to achieve process control solutions utilizing Decoupled III processing techniques. You will learn how monitoring techniques are used to detect and contain suspect parts and how to do accurate machine and mold qualifications.

Attendees should have a fundamental understanding of computers and Microsoft products to complete this course.

  • Building a Decoupled II Process
  • Cavity Pressure Control using Decoupled III Molding Techniques
  • Reading and Interpreting Cavity Pressure Curves
  • Matching Processes on Different Presses using Cavity Pressure Data
  • Proper Sensor Location and Placement
  • Evaluation of Molding Machine Performance
