Do your suppliers ever ship you defective parts?

Our experience in working with buyers and users of plastic parts has revealed that fundamental knowledge of plastic processing can have a profound, positive impact on this issue. This conference will result in valuable knowledge that can be applied when working with your supplier to manage quality.

Successful companies work together with their suppliers to quantify and reduce or eliminate the root-cause of part defects using data. They take a pro-active role in setting clear expectations for their suppliers, and work together with them to create a strategy that ensures success for both parties.

A few questions you should ask yourself are:
  • What is the Real Cost of Quality? Do you know you are paying for it?
  • Is Molding a Science or an Art?
  • What is Scientific Molding?
  • Do you know Why and How Scientific Molding and Cavity Pressure Technology can be used to get the highest quality, at the lowest cost from your suppliers?
  • Can your suppliers guarantee that no short shots will be shipped - ever?
  • How are companies successfully implementing these technologies?
  • What does it cost you to resource your plastics work?
  • How will you choose your next plastics supplier?

Speaker: Rod Groleau
Rod Groleau has worked in the plastics industry for over 40 years. His experience and in-depth knowledge of the injection molding process have made him a leader in the industry. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Kettering University (General Motors Institute) and a Master's Degree from Michigan State University . He co-founded Control Process, Inc. ( CPI ) to apply electronic control technology to the injection molding process. While at CPI he developed the industry's first Process Control System and the first commercial Mold Pressure Sensor. In 1985 Rod began RJG, Inc. where he and his team developed a complete product line of specialized controls and information systems for plastic injection molders. Rod currently conducts seminars on injection molding technology and productivity internationally for RJG, Inc.
